Staging Connections
Telethon Speech & Hearing Centre
For over forty years the Centre has been helping deaf children to live normal lives with the gift of speech. Our specialized services are also available to children who suffer speech and language impairments. Its Early Intervention Program services start as soon as a child is diagnosed which may be in the first few weeks of life. Our team of audiologists, speech pathologists, teachers of the deaf, psychologist, occupational therapists and early childhood teachers work closely with children and their families. Our aim is for all children in our programs to reach their individual potential by using listening to acquire good spoken language. Children who can speak have greater choices in schooling, occupation and lifestyle.
